GitHub Ships Org-Level Code Quality Trends

2026-08-19 · Nightwing · 1 min read

What shipped? The organization-level Code Quality dashboard on GitHub now includes a Trends tab that plots how findings move across repositories over time.

What changed? Instead of a point-in-time snapshot of open findings, you now get a trend graph over 7, 14, or 30 days, grouped by health score or severity, plus your current total open findings and the net change since the period started. Two ranked tables surface your most-improved repositories and the ones needing support. The graph and tables respect the repository filters set at the top of the page.

Why does a builder care? If you run Code Quality across an org with many repos, this turns a static count into a direction — you can see which teams are actually cutting findings and which repos are sliding, without exporting anything.

Generally available for GitHub Team and Enterprise Cloud organizations with Code Quality enabled. Not available on Enterprise Server.
