What shipped: Vercel cut AI Gateway pricing for MiniMax's H3 and H3 Max video models in half, running August 30 through September 13 in partnership with MiniMax.

What changed: The discount applies to every request billed through AI Gateway for minimax/minimax-h3 and minimax/minimax-h3-max — at all durations and aspect ratios. Model IDs are unchanged, so existing requests pick up the lower rate with zero code changes. H3 generates 2K video from a text prompt, a starting image, first/last keyframe pairs, or reference images, video, and audio. H3 Max trades resolution for speed, rendering faster at 480p and 768p from a text prompt or starting image. Renders take minutes, so the AI SDK's poll helper runs generation as a background job instead of holding one long request open — webhook and start-and-status routes are documented under asynchronous generation.
