Vercel Speed Insights now has a free tier

What shipped? Vercel made Speed Insights free on every plan — including Pro and Enterprise — with 10,000 events per team every 30 days, for any number of projects.

What changed? Previously, the free tier was limited to a single project on Hobby. Upgrading to Pro meant losing access unless you paid for the add-on. Now the free tier carries across plans. The paid product has been renamed to Speed Insights Plus, which adds slow-route diagnosis, detailed breakdowns, historical data, and CLI access. Existing paid customers see no change in capabilities or pricing — only the name.

Why a builder cares. Real-user performance monitoring is now zero-cost for every Vercel project. If you weren't paying for Speed Insights before, you get it for free. If you were paying, nothing changes. Install it with npm install @vercel/speed-insights and you're live.
