Vercel Speed Insights Now Free on Every Plan

What shipped: Vercel's Speed Insights — real-user performance monitoring — is now free on every plan, with the paid features moving to a new "Speed Insights Plus" tier.

What changed: The free tier includes 10,000 events per team, refreshed every 30 days, and works on any number of projects. Previously, free Speed Insights was limited to one Hobby project; upgrading to Pro meant losing access unless you paid for the add-on. Now the free allowance carries across plans. The paid product is renamed to Speed Insights Plus and keeps the same pricing for deeper diagnostics, slow-route analysis, historical data, and raw data access via Drains and the CLI.

Why a builder cares: Real-user monitoring just became zero-friction. Install @vercel/speed-insights in any project — Hobby or Pro — and get core Web Vitals from live traffic without a credit card. The pricing wall for basic performance data is gone.
