Cloudflare BotBase for Operators
What shipped: Cloudflare's BotBase — the searchable directory of known bots — now includes a dedicated operator dashboard. Bot operators can manage submissions, edit profiles, and declare behavior models without leaving the dashboard.
What changed: Until now, submitting a bot to BotBase was a one-shot form with no way to check status or update details afterward. The new operator portal adds:
- Submission tracking: See whether your bot is pending, approved, or rejected.
- Profile editing: Update bot metadata (name, description, purpose) without resubmitting.
- Behavior model: Declare how your bot uses content — important for site owners making access decisions based on bot intent.
Why a builder cares: BotBase works best when both sides participate. If you operate a crawler, AI agent scraper, or monitoring bot, this dashboard lets you maintain accurate listings. For site owners, it means more reliable bot identification and fewer false positives in firewall rules.
